Barras Industries — OKFIND · Open Knowledge Format · v0.1

Not live yet — concept preview

Find knowledge your agents can read verbatim.

OKFIND is an open registry for OKF bundles — directories of plain markdown with YAML frontmatter. Fetch one, point an agent at it, done. No SDK, no service, no lock-in.

This is an early preview. The catalogue below shows what's coming — the live registry isn't open yet. Leave your email and we'll tell you the moment it is.

Installing will look like okfind add google-cloud/bigquery-public — planned, not live yet.

Just markdown

Every concept is a readable .md file. Open it in any editor, render it on GitHub, ingest it straight into context.

Just files

A bundle is a directory. Ship it as a tarball, host it in a git repo, mount it on a filesystem. Diffs and pull requests just work.

Just frontmatter

A handful of YAML keys — type, title, tags, resource, timestamp — make bundles queryable and interoperable across agents.

OKF is the format · OKFIND is the market layer

Have a wiki? It's already a bundle.

If your team keeps knowledge in Obsidian, Notion, MkDocs, or a folder of markdown an agent already reads — it's a few conventions away from being OKF. Publish it so every agent, not just yours, can use it.

  1. Add type + title frontmatter to each concept
  2. Generate index.md files for the hierarchy
  3. Push to git, then okfind publish

OKFIND

a Barras Industries experiment

A concept registry built on the Open Knowledge Format, published by Google Cloud as a vendor-neutral way to represent knowledge as markdown.

Pre-launch preview · the registry isn't live yet. Listings, counts, trust scores, and okfind add commands are illustrative sample data shown to demonstrate the concept. The email signup is real.
